Vermentino is valued for its ability to produce fresh and aromatic whites of excellent quality in the sunny climate of the south of France. The wine is clean and bright, bursting with vibrant fresh fruit flavours.
The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Picpoul de Pinet region, on clay and limestone terraces called "Costières", which encourages good concentration and structure in the wine.
The 2020 growing season began with a rather cold and dry winter. Early spring was mild, although there was a significant drought that caused a water deficit in the soils. This was followed by heavy rainfall in May and June that reached up to 2.5 times the regional average. Summer was hot and dry, which required careful work in the vineyard to protect the vines and achieve an even maturation. The harvest began at the beginning of September.
